Islander Green Dial Automatic Dive Watch with Bracelet, Double-Domed AR Sapphire Crystal, and Embossed Ceramic Bezel Insert #ISL-44

The Islander ISL-18 with its sunburst blue dial was a HUGE hit and sold out in a few days. Many of you requested we make a version with a sunburst green dial. So, here it is as the new IS-44. It has a 43mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 14mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 46mm (i.e. looks big, but doesn't wear big on your wrist). Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The radiant, sunburst green dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour markers and the Island Watch logo is luminous under 12:00. The 120-click uni-directional bezel has an embossed (diver marked) ceramic insert that matches up perfectly with the green dial. The bezel has a coin-edge that is easy to grip and rotate.

The green dial has great visibility due to the use of an eye-catching double domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. This model comes with a (brushed and polished) solid-link bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp. It is easily adjustable to fit most all wrist sizes.

Better than I was expecting

The finish quality of this watch really impressed me. The shiny bits are quite shiny. The bracelet is super comfy. The dial is surprisingly brilliant without being too in-your-face. The bezel is super satisfying to turn. The chapter ring is lined up perfectly. I'm not sure why it took me so long to pull the trigger on an Islander. I totally understand now why people buy multiple Islanders.

I know other people have already said it but I totally agree that the Islander dive series is a better buy than the SKX. I have an SKX and I enjoy that watch too, but the updated Seiko movement (hand winding! Terrific!) sapphire crystal, ceramic bezels, and other upgrades make for a better and great value watch. Love the dial and hands as well. In my humble opinion Marc and team have built the natural progression successor to the SKX and the big company missed the boat.

Mark has called this the Emerald Islander or something like that. I think HulkMaster is more inline .The specs on this watch make it best bang for buck I've ever had the privilege of buying .Fit n finish ,better specs for same money as SKX at the moment is just crazy. Having the look of a yacht master in the rich emerald green is all a plus to me.Beautiful watch!

Excellent watch for the money!

I absolutely love the watch. The striking emerald green dial really pops, the beveled sapphire crystal adds a really cool effect around the edge of the bezel. The bezel action is buttery and crisp, so satisfying, and the bezel markers line up perfectly. The signed crown is solid with no noticeable wobble and the winding action feels very good. The bracelet is good, but not great. There is a lot of side to side flex, but this is the first time I have ever owned a 5 link jubilee style bracelet so that could be normal. The milled clasp is pretty good with the exception of the clasp lock which functions as it should but the materials used are really thin and when putting the watch on and taking it off the clasp lock makes a cheap clinking sound. Overall I can look past the absolutely minimal down sides as this Islander is miles ahead of my Seiko in so many ways. I have absolutely gotten an excellent value for the money that I spent. I would strongly recommend this watch.

This is almost TOO much watch for the price. Gorgeous dial, stunning bezel, drilled lugs, milled bracelet clasp, reliable movement, sapphire crystal, screw down crown, great lume... This watch ticked all the boxes, and at a ridiculously low price.

The watch is beautiful. Shipment time and communication from Island Watch Co. has been excellent ! I would like to see Embossed Ceramic Bezel Inserts in gold and black, Also, I would like to see black and different colored watchbands to further customize Seiko and Orient dive watches.
