This Islander ISL-08 dive watch has been refurbished to like new condition. It is rated as being in excellent condition. No mechanical issues.

Island Watch would like to introduce you to the new Islander dive watch. You will immediately notice that is has a very familiar 43mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 14mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 46mm (i.e. looks big, but doesn't wear big on your wrist). Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The yellow dial has Super-LumiNova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch logo is black under 12:00. The 120-click uni-directional bezel has a scratch-resistant black (diver marked) ceramic insert that is also treated with Super-LumiNova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience when lights go out. It is quite bright and long lasting.

The dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective flat sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The anti-reflective coating is on the underside of the sapphire and it imparts a slight bluish hue at some viewing angles.

And, lastly you get a beefy bracelet with solid links, solid end links and a dual push-button flip lock deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. For sizing the bracelet, you will find screws are used for removing bracelet links instead of pins.

NOTE: The Islander dive and dual-time watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX007 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc.

    The Yellow Islander returned and I was able to jump on it and get one. Fantastic quality for a watch at this price point. I've bought a couple watches from Long Island Watches and Marc has provided consistently great service. Will definitely buy from him again.

    I knew this was going to be a really nice watch 👌 but, it definitely exceeded my expectations. Everything Marc said this watch would have that everyone expected Seiko should have done with the SKX (Sapphire crystal, drilled through lugs, solid end links, ceramic bezel, upgraded NH-36 movement, etc.) is true and then some. The quality and all the upgrades he put in this time piece are awesome 👌😎. This Islander is nicer than most of the specialty microbrands I spent around $450-$500 on. Marc definitely takes pride in delivering a high quality product at an affordable price. Even though I prefer bracelets; I felt because of the quality of the yellow dial it needed a NATO strap that would compliment it without being a distraction. I wanted to make sure that the focus remained on the dial. Wish photos could be attached to reviews. I posted a couple photos on Instagram to show this off (jps_aztazzzfan).

    Finally decided to get an orange and a yellow dial watch. With the slight tweaks from Seiko's SKX011, these watches impress. The dial colors have a bit of metallic sheen to them, so they really sparkle.

    I get more complements on my ISL-08 than any other watch in my collection. This is my second Islander, and the quality is amazing for the price.

    Have several islander watch from LIW. Will add my experience with this yellow. Had an issue with the watch the 2nd day of wearing it. Contacted LIW. Response was quick. Received a replacement within few days. Response/customer service first class in my book. Noticed that the clasp on this replacement wasn't up to the same standard as my other islander. Took several times with some added effort to get it to lock. My other islander clasp was flawless. But this didnt bother me as much because was planning to use a Nato strap. On a black Nato strap, also from LIW, this watched popped...a true stunner. Plus, to date, all my islanders seem to keep pretty close accurate time. Very happy with all my watches from LIW. If your on the fence about acquiring a islander watch I say..dont be.
