    Glass chipped after a year

    The glass chipped after a year. I don't remember hitting it on anything sharp or hard. I took the watch hiking and water got in, so it fogged up any time I wore it. I heated the watch face to boil the water and increase pressure to expel the water through the hole. This did not go as planned. I ended up melting the ring of glue keeping the window on, and then a few weeks later I knocked it off the shelf and shattered the glass. Aesthetics of the watch were OK. I like the balance of 1: classic and new design aesthetic, 2: details and big picture. Elegant & classy. Drawback: The dial window. It is HUGE. Sticks out of the watch; retro and ugly. It looks really beautiful in bright sunlight, but as soon as you see it from a side vantage point, you realize how much it pokes out, and the edges are rounded. A more modern aesthetic would have tapered rounding on the dial window. Definitely would not purchase again.

    The Orient Bambino V3 is a well-made and accurate automatic watch. For the money it is IMO nearly impossible to beat. It is well worth upgrading the enclosed strap to a more exclusive strap, more appropriate to the fine look of the Bambino!

    The watch itself is a very nice piece, it looks and feels like something you'd pay much more for and really stacks up against some higher priced dress watches in my collection. The only downside is what I feel is a very poorly made band. The stitching is not straight, and the band generally feels to be of a low quality. I assume the low quality band is part of the way they keep the watch itself such good value.
