Orient 21-Jewel Automatic Aviator Flight Watch with Brown Leather Strap #ER2A004D

Since I first saw the Orient Flight series, I've considered them to be a near optimal interpretation of the classic B-Uhr Flieger. After a few weekends wearing, I'm still impressed! Pros: Screw down crown on something other than a dive watch! The hands are the absolute optimal length relative to the dial features. The dial texturing is exquisite; sunburst in the inner circle and radial brushed around the outer. Very smooth and precise crown operation, no wobble. Sexy lume. Glows well and the numerals are lumed too! Well regulated. Orient are reputed to have tight QC on regulation. Cons: The case is 42mm. That is the modern "Norm", however I feel 40mm would have been optimal for 2 reasons: The watch wears large due to the thin bezel. If the watch was scaled down to 40mm, the inner edge of the date window would have aligned with the hour track. Small complaint, just me being OCD.

Exactly what I was looking for. This watch is well spoken of on watch forums. At the price point it's hard to beat. So far it's very accurate. It's simple with no bells and whistles. The dial is a very nice blue gray with numbers easy enough to see, looks even better with a NATO strap. Only thing is the movement feels kind of noisy and less refined than others at a higher price point. But I won't down it for that because it is a workhorse budget watch. I'd buy it again.

Very happy, Long Island Watch had exactly the watch I wanted (and several more). The transaction went without a hitch, and the watch is great! I do recommend getting some alternative straps just (included brown leather strap seems plenty sturdy but is very plain). Also, just know that you are buying a non-hacking or winding movement.

This was my first Orient watch and couldn't be happier. The quality is great and the value is amazing. Be prepared to purchase another strap, as the strap that comes with it doesn't do the watch full justice. I now have it on 4 different Natos and 2 different leather straps. Watch easily dresses up and down, depending on what you are wearing. Love the blue/grey face as it changes colors depending on the angle and light. Just a great watch all around.

The Orient Aviator has the unique style I've been looking for. The blue dial is very easy to read and looks fantastic! It's just the right weight for me and the lume is not only bright, and seeing the unique design shine through makes it even more special. The only thing I didn't like about this watch is the brown band it comes with. It gets the job done, but not very attractive in my opinion. My suggestion is to switch it out with a blue/grey striped NATO strap.

I've been wanting this watch for a long time, and when Island Watch notified me that it was back in stock, I purchased immediately. The watch itself is beautiful, alternating between a blue and dark blue/black color depending on the angle you look at it from, and is a perfect size in my opinion. Accuracy has been very good, about +3 to +5 seconds a day, and the lume is incredible, easily lasting throughout the night. Lastly, dealing with Marc at Island Watch is always a great experience. Highly recommended all the way around!!
