Made in Switzerland, the new Squale 2002 model is a 1000 meter dive watch that has the famous snap-on uni-directional bezel and 3.5mm thick sapphire crystal with a double gasket to ensure outstanding water resistance. The unique black and orange bezel insert is made of hard bakelite that is colored in a multi-stage process. First the phosphorescent material is applied by hand, followed by coloring with varnishes immune to seawater corrosion, and then application to the supporting steel substrate. This guarantees excellent bezel legibility. Like the vintage Squale model that inspired it, the bezel can always be unscrewed from above. \n\n\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIncludes an orange dial, stainless steel bezel, a black PVD case, an offset crown and a solid stainless steel case back. The watch’s discreet elegance is combined with reliability, and durability through the use of special Swedish steels. Mechanical reliability is guaranteed by the well tried and tested Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic movement.
