Islander Blue Dial Automatic Dive Watch with AR Double Dome Sapphire Crystal, and 120-click Bezel #ISL-60

The Islander ISL-60 has the familiar look of an iconic dive watch which has been discontinued. The Islander version mimics the original but, it has an all solid link bracelet that uses screws for sizing (instead of the very fussy pin and collar system). The upgraded bracelet also features a more robust milled deployant clasp with a dual-push button release. Another Islander upgrade is a double-dome sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective (inside only) coating that provides scratch protection and a clearer view of the dial and time.

The movement is a 24-jewel NH36 automatic that offers you the same reliable performance as later editions of this iconic dive watch. The blue dial features silver hands and white hour markers coated with SuperLuminova for reading the time in the dark. The day and date window is in the familiar 3:00 position.

The lugs are drilled for bracelet to dive strap changes. Lug width is 20mm. The case size is 42mm diameter by 13mm thick. 47mm tip to tip. Finish is brushed and polished. The crown and caseback are screw-in and the uni-directional rotating (slightly concave) bezel is a 120-click with a luminous PIP. Water resistance is 200 meters.

Bought this watch on an impulse because it was on sale. I have tried really hard to find anything wrong with it but can’t. Keeps great time and has surprisingly good fit and finish.

A perfect take on the first gen Monster. The flat blue dial with white markers and hands makes this watch easy to read at a glance. The Seiko movement with hand wind/hacking and sapphire crystal are the upgrades we all desire. Congratulations to Mark and his people at Long Island Watches for offering a great product,

Watch is okay however I’m extremely disappointed with the bezel action it’s way too loose and this is my 3rd islander two out of the three have very loose bezels and after this purchase I don’t think there will be another.

This watch is very nicely done: movement is accurately regulated, case, dial and bracelet are accurately "monster", dial color is a very nice greyish blue, the domed sapphire crystal adds much to the appeal of the dial.. altogether a very nice watch and I'm very happy with it.

Super fast shipping from NY to BC, Canada. Simple but nice packaging, nothing wasted. Watch is exactly as described on the website. Fit and finish is very good. Nice wrist presence on 6.75”wrist. Comfortable bracelet- no reason to swap out. The blue against the case is a great combination. Would buy again. This is my third purchase from Long Island. A product at a reasonable price, delivered on time. What more could you ask for?
