Marathon Swiss Made, TSAR Quartz Military Divers Watch with Sapphire Crystal #WW194007NGM

The Marathon TSAR is for water resistant down to 30 ATM - 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. Made from 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the TSAR is a purpose built watch that will not let you down no matter what adventure you may take it. The glass of the TSAR is in fact not glass, but a synthetic sapphire which will resist scratches, and ensure maximum dial legibility.

The TSAR is handmade in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy in manufacturing. Inside the TSAR is a Swiss made, 3 jewel ETA F06 high torque quartz movement, the TSAR guarantees you a reliable and accurate timekeeping experience. The TSAR uses self contained Tritium gas tubes to ensure constant visibility in low light situations, a gas tube is placed on each hour marker and hands and uses MaraGlo for the 12 hour bezel marker. Tritium tubes are self illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photoluminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow. The TSAR combines Military toughness with Swiss craftsmanship in a watch that will get the job done, and look good doing it.

Marathon TSAR Quartz Military Divers Watch

Posted by Unknown on Feb 20th 2021

This watched was purchased as a gift for our son who is in the military. We waited a little too long to buy and had to have the watch shipped overnight. Long Island Watch gave great instructions on timing and the watch arrived on time. The process of ordering was super easy and the price was excellent.

    As Good as it Gets

Simply awesome. Had it for 3 weeks now and could not ask for more from this watch. The clicking bezel is one of the most satisfying things to play with.....I mean use for serious business. So crisp and no play whatsoever. Perfectly-aligned with the numbers (many people care about it, including myself). Tritium is fantastic if you are outdoors at night or waking up middle of the night to admire your watch. It does not blind you, but doesn't require squinting to read it, either. Highly recommend this watch if you are into being outdoors or always dealing with timings and can't (or don't want to) always have access to a phone. And as always, dealing with Mark has been nothing but an absolute pleasure, when it comes to customer service.

    Marathon TSAR

Posted by Unknown on Oct 15th 2020

Excellent experience with this company and Marc. Received my watch quickly, but the watch itself wasn't functioning right. E-mailed Marc, and with a few emails later sent a new one out immediately with a return prepaid postage sticker enclosed. Watch arrived quickly and in perfect working order. Fantastic costumer service. The watch itself is excellent and I'm looking forward to the release of 41mm Arctic now. Will be purchasing through Island Watch.

Great tool watch even better customer service

Posted by Bennie walters on Jul 26th 2020

I brag about Mark and longislandwatch.com as often as possible and want everyone to know his customer service and attitude towards the consumer is second to none.... That being said, I am a commercial diver and use my watch at work, in the shower, hiking, EVERYTHING A PERSON CAN DO WITH A WATCH IS DONE and it is a pleasure to have on wrist..... that being said two weeks after purchase the click spring broke, it was VERY disappointing that this happened however I contacted marathon and they shipped me a new click spring, no harm no foul and for that reason it only gets a 4

    The second watch from LIW

Posted by Mr Mario Pinder on Nov 22nd 2019

This is the second watch I have purchased from LIW. As always 100% satisfied, Marc is awesome to deal with and quick to respond to questions (emails). I have made LIW my go to for watches, watches are 100% new and authentic. I have had no issues with any of my watches. P.S. check out Marc's YouTube videos. They are very informative.

    Fantastic watch

Posted by Daniel B on Sep 13th 2019

I wanted to replace my ageing Tawatec and had done a lot of research on my next Quartz Tritium watch, and out of all the tritium offerings on the Market Marathon in my opinion is the best. The watch is all business and already have seen a lot of Police and military guys eyeing it off. The watch face is beautiful to look at especially at low light and in complete darkness very legible. It really is the go to option for lume in any conditions without pressing a button on a Gshock, which is problematic in many ways. Being in Australia with the exchange and taxes I paid well over $1300 for this watch and I don't regret one cent of it. If Marc had not had this watch at a reasonable discount it would never have bought it - thanks Marc! If you are on the fence with this watch don't be, buy it. It looks great, its comfy to wear, mil spec, legible and will keep ticking when you need it too.

    Tough looking watch.

Posted by Russ N on Sep 3rd 2019

This watch is unlike anything else I have. I have many dive watches, Japanese and Swiss. The marathon stands out as a no nonsense and tough looking watch. I also like that it has Arabic numbers around the dial unlike most dive watches, and the tritium works very well. I have to take points off for a small issue which may not be important to most folks. The second hand did not fall directly over the dial minute markers and I tried but couldn’t not notice it. I eventually purchased a second example which is much better. I’m really liking the watch and Island Watch is just the best.

    The Curse of Quartz

Posted by Rodney Kirchhofer on Mar 29th 2018

Purchased the Marathon TSAR and for the most part love this watch. Materials, build (for the most part), and style at this price point seem pretty good given my somewhat limited watch experience thus far and flavor of design. I would have loved to give it a glowing review, but the one thing that has detracted from my overall experience with this watch is the second hand not hitting the second markers exactly. Maybe I could forgive it more on a sub-$300 price point, but not at the one this watch comes in at. It seems the Curse of Quartz is alive and well at Marathon. Working with LIW was excellent and do look forward to bringing them more of my watch business.
