Seiko Samurai Prospex PADI Automatic Dive Watch with Stainless Steel Bracelet #SRPB99

This is a new special edition PADI Seiko Samurai automatic dive watch. It features a Seiko 23 jewel automatic (4R35) movement, a date display, highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility, a screw down offset crown, a uni-directional diving bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, Hardlex mineral crystal and a solid etched, screw-down case back. The 4R35 Seiko movement is self-winding and it can be hand wound and hacked. The movement has a 41 hour power reserve.

Comes on a stainless steel bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp. The dial has a unique wave pattern texture. The hands are a new style patterned after the hands found on the Seiko Monster series of watches. It includes manual and a Seiko box. (note the drybox is no longer being included with this watch).

The watch is everything I prefer. Chiseled lugs, subtle color accents, impressive lume, near flawless movement at a price that is swinging way above its class. And that's just the watch. First Impressions of the PADI Dive Watch

I will preface this review by qualifying that this watch was a foray into a lower price category having primarily focused on a higher caliber of watches over the last number of years namely, Paneri, Omega, Oris, Baume Mercier etc, Great value for what appears to be a well built time piece. I hesitate to give the watch a 5 star rating mostly due to the NON Sapphire crystal which I think is a must. The knurling on the bezel could be more aggressive to give a better hold when rotating it especially when wearing any type of gloves. Generally for the price point i'm more then satisfied.

I have been looking for a diver for a long time, and this Seiko certainly impresses me a big time. Classic "pepsi" bezel, great lume and wave dial. I am very happy with the watch and the service from Marc!
