Citizen Military Watch Eco-Drive Black Dial with Black Nylon Strap #AW5000-24E

Spooky accurate, highly readable. Lum is clear and attravtive with only hands and dots on the bezel at 12, 3, 6, and 9 lighting up. Great watch for those who simply want to know what time it is. Typical Citizen strap, sized for teenage girls. Easily replaced with NATO or similar.

It's bigger than I expected from looking at the picture. Should have paid more attention to the description. That crown is huge, and it makes a big watch look medium in pictures. I got it because the technology intrigues me and I didn't have a Citizen. I've been wearing it to work (in a casual office). It's easy to read quickly (partially because it is big and partially because the markings are simple). The strap is better than expected. The outer layer is canvas, but the inner layer on your wrist is suede (natural or synthetic I don't know, but it's much more comfortable than canvas is). It is apparently stuffed with some kind of foam, which also improves the comfort. So you get what looks like a utilitarian canvas strap, but it doesn't feel like canvas on your wrist. I'm not changing it out right away, but I will be watching to see how it holds up. Will it harbor colonies of stuff long-term?

I was looking for a basic time and date watch without all the clutter of added chrono dials and this watch fit my needs. That fact that it is a solar powered watch with a rechargeable lithium battery that will last a least twenty years was a big plus. Just a half a day's light (sun or indoor) will power it for a month or more.

Still waiting for the watch to arrive. But i'm sure it will be awesome.

Beautiful watch, easy to read. A little larger than anticipated, but very utilitarian. Solar/Eco a plus. Replaced the band (which isn't bad) with a NATO sand nylon - brushed stainless to match the watch case. Looks even better now.

Simplistic design, solidly built, I wanted this citizen watch because I didn't own a citizen. Strap is comfortable and durable even though it's not leather. Great price, even though i have watches that are 400 and up, I actually prefer wearing this watch often (bought around $140). Also nice size for small wrist. Would buy again.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my twenty something son who has never worn a watch. I think he will love it. If not, I am keeping it!
