The Islander Port Jefferson (Port Jeff) is our thinnest diver to date. At just 11mm thick (11.5mm to the apex of the crystal), it will easily fit under a shirt cuff. The Port Jeff is a skin diver watch–skin diving implies exploration under the waves without the aid of SCUBA equipment. Water resistance does not need to be as high as professional divers, yet we still managed to make this watch a full 150 meters water resistant - enough pressure resistance for virtually any recreational diver.

The Islander Port Jeff is perfectly sized at 40mm in diameter. This is a great in-between size; not as grand as your standard 42mm case, and not as small as 38mm divers. We are most proud of the fact that the watch is just 11mm thick. An amazing feat usually found on much more expensive watches. The lug to lug length is 48mm and the weight of the watch with bracelet is 150 grams.

Powering the watch is a Miyota 9015 movement, beating at an amazing 28,800 beats per hour. This means the seconds hand ticks a smooth 8 times per second. A color matched date window is placed at the 6:00 to keep the dial balanced. To maintain water resistance, and accidental deployment, the crown is screwdown.

Covering the dial is a scratch resistant single-domed sapphire crystal. The underside has been coated with an anti-reflective coating. The dome of the crystal adds 0.5mm to the thickness of the watch, but it also slightly magnifies the dial.

Securing the Port Jeff to your wrist is a negative endlink Beads of Rice bracelet. This style of endlink allows the bracelet to articulate at the case, making it very comfortable to wear and increases its versatility among varying wrist sizes. The bracelet is solid link, solid endlink and sized with screws. A clasp with Islander logo, and 3 positions of micro-adjust is used. The bracelet is 20mm at the lug, and tapers to 18mm at the clasp.

Should you decide to use the bezel for timing your dive, or timing your laundry, it is a 120 click uni-directional ratcheting bezel. It is topped with a lumed ceramic insert. Turning the watch over, you will see a deeply embossed, screwdown caseback featuring the Islander logo and a lighthouse.

This particular model is a white dial with applied black markers and hands. To provide a pop of color, an accenting orange seconds hand is used. The bezel insert is glossy black ceramic.
