For our first solar watch, we knew we needed to make a splash! The Islander Saltaire is not just a solar dive watch, it uses the Miyota 2070 ring solar movement. This movement differs from other solar movements because the solar collector is actually part of the rehaut (chapter ring). Because the collector is not behind the dial, we are able to use a fully opaque (metallic) dial with texture.

Our 38mm Islander Saltaire is designed to be your "grab and go" diver. The movement can power the watch on a full charge for 4 months, and is accurate to 20 seconds per month. The watch has all the upgrades you expect from Islander, like a sapphire crystal and a solid link, solid endlink bracelet with a 6 position micro-adjust clasp. The bracelet is sized with screws for easy sizing on your own. The bracelet tapers from 20mm at the lug, to 18mm at the clasp, so if you'd like to upgrade to a tool-less micro-adjust clasp, you can use our CLASP-03.

The screwdown crown ensures 200 meters of water resistance, and a 120 click unidirectional ratcheting bezel can be used for dive timing, or timing whatever else you need. Superluminova is used on the dial, hands and the bezel, so reading the time in low-light is a breeze. The bezel is topped with a domed mineral crystal ring.

The Miyota 2070 movement has an "EOL", aka, end-of-life indicator, so when the charge on the battery is getting low, the watch will tick in 2 second increments. This is the watch telling you to get it some light and charge it up.

This version uses a white textured dial, with a smooth debossed section where the applied hour markers lay. The hands and markers are silver, and red accents are used on the seconds hand and dial.
