The Essence Leggera 41 Space Glacier brings together cosmic material, refined craftsmanship, and ultra-lightweight engineering in one striking expression. At its core is a genuine meteorite dial, formed over millions of years in space and defined by its natural Widmanstätten pattern. Each dial is entirely unique, its crystalline structure impossible to replicate. No two pieces are ever alike.

At our dial manufacture in the Swiss Jura, the meteorite is elevated through a meticulous finishing process. A bright layer of 98% pure silver is electroplated directly onto its surface. Six ultra-thin layers of transparent zapon teinté — a cellulose-based lacquer infused with a subtle hint of blue — are then applied by hand.

Rather than concealing the meteorite, this technique enhances it. The icy blue tone adds depth while preserving the sharp geometry and natural brilliance of the crystalline structure beneath.

Thanks to the meteorite’s conductivity, our dial specialists can solder the dial feet directly onto the meteorite base itself, eliminating the need for a brass backing typically required for stone dials. This allows us to work with an ultra-thin 0.5mm slice and machine our signature beveled date window directly into the dial — creating a clean, precise, and fully integrated aesthetic.

The Space Glacier dial is housed in our 41mm Leggera case — constructed from black carbon fiber composite with scratch-resistant ceramic components. The result is exceptional strength at an almost weightless feel on the wrist. Hand-applied, gunmetal-finished hands and indices provide sharp contrast against the glacier-blue dial, enhancing legibility while echoing the technical character of the case. The patented Case Suspension System absorbs shocks and increases comfort, while the Deployant Clasp with its gradual fine-adjustment system allows for intuitive sizing throughout the day — without opening the clasp and without taking the watch off your wrist.

Movement

Under the hood beats a Swiss Made Sellita SW-200-1 automatic movement ensuring both accuracy and reliability. It comes in its highest quality grade ”Chronometer”, using top of the line components only found in Chronometer-grade movements. Each of the movements undergoes the COSC-certification process, a meticulous 15-day rate test to ensure extraordinary levels of mechanical accuracy and precision. Only the movements who pass the stringent assessment will be certified and engraved with a unique serial number. The movements’ power reserve extends to approximately 41 hours.
