Islander Black Sandwich Dial Automatic Dive Watch with AR Sapphire Crystal, and Pilot Bezel #ISL-80

This Islander dive watch has a square cushion style case with brushed top-back and polished sides. It is a new style for the Islander series of watches. The diameter is 42mm with a thickness of 13mm. Tip to tip it is a 49.5mm. Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, and a 200 meter water resistance rating.

Inside the ISL-80 case is an NH38, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound.

The dial is a sandwich type. It has an aged vintage-style "Old Radium Look" SuperLuminova bottom layer plus a sunburst black top layer with cut-outs for the hour markers. It creates a kind of three dimensional look that is a real eye-catcher. The same lume is also applied to the hands. The bezel is a fixed pilot style bezel. The dial also has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches.

And, you get a beautiful beads-of-rice style bracelet with solid links, female end links and a milled scissor push-button flip-lock deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. For sizing the bracelet, screws are used for removing bracelet links instead of pins.

NOTE: This Islander dive watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX007 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, and hands. However SKX bracelets will not fit.
