Named after the plane built by Republic Aviation right here on Long Island, the Thunderbolt is one mean looking pilot's watch. From it's fully blasted case and bracelet to its midnight black Mother of Pearl dial, this watch looks great and means business!
The Islander Thunderbolt has a right-sized 40mm diameter case that is just 12.5mm in thickness. The case and bracelet are matching blasted stainless steel which gives it a dull, lusterless appearance. This is contrasted by the black Mother of Pearl dial that shines through the scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Turning the watch over, you are greeted by an exhibition caseback which shows off the signature Islander blue rotor.
Powered by a true no-date Seiko NH38, the watch is powered by the movement of your wrist and will provide up to 40 hours of power reserve. Securing the watch to your wrist is a solid link, solid endlink blasted bracelet that is sized with screws. To obtain that perfect fit on your wrist, the bracelet has a tool-less microadjusting clasp. It tapers from 20mm at the case to 16mm at the buckle.
