Islander 38mm Automatic Dive Watch with Solid-Link Bracelet, AR Sapphire Crystal, and Luminous Sapphire Bezel Insert #ISL-25

Island Watch would like to introduce you to the new Islander dive watch. You will immediately notice that is has a very familiar 38mm case with an offset screw-down crown at 4:00. Thickness is 13mm and tip to tip it is a very wearable 44.5mm. Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Inside the case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The white dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch logo is blue under 12:00. The 120-click uni-directional bezel has a scratch-resistant blue sapphire insert that is also treated with SuperLuminova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience when lights go out.

The dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective flat sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The anti-reflective coating is on the underside of the sapphire and it imparts a bluish hue at some viewing angles.

Upgraded: The bracelet has solid links, and solid end links. Screws are now used for adjustments (instead of pins) for sizing the bracelet. It now also features a robust milled scissor push-button deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. Also, The crown is now signed with the Island Watch logo.

NOTE: The Islander dive and dual-time watch is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX013 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, hands, bracelets, etc.

Well worth the money (even the extra to get it to the U.K.). A very solid and striking watch that is set to stay on my wrist for a very long time. Surprisingly accurate too.

Polar-dial diver does the Seiko Turtle one better in terms of soecs and execution, although not (of course) when it cimes to originality. The color combo is excellent with it's stark contrasts. Great value on sale; great service, as always.

A great watch from a great company

I've bought from Mark, but this is my first Islander. This is a fantastic watch, basically a modded SKX013, with upgraded crystal, bracelet and movement, as well as fund colors. The colors look so good (looks better in the flesh than in the pictures). Built like a tank, looks great, this will be my new Summer fun watch! And the best part is the lume. As always, great service from Mark.

This is my first white dial watch. The pictures are great but don't do it justice. The colors are perfect. There is nothing I don't like, nothing needs improvement. Mark & Co. should be proud of the work they've done bringing quality watches like this to the market.

Fantastic features and specs for the money

I can't say enough good things about this watch. It's beautiful, it's functional, it's dependable. It's got those clever "wobble head" screws in the bracelet links that make resizing a snap. The lume is fantastic. Sapphire, ceramic, screw down crown, the colors just POP. Great Seiko movement with hacking and the usual power reserve. The list goes on. If you are on the fence about this watch (and I was) you can hop off on the Islander side! You could buy and mod an SKX, if your watch has to say "Seiko" on it, but by the time you've spec'd it like Marc has these Islanders, you'll be at twice the cost, especially if you can't do the work yourself. Fabulous value.
