Marathon (Medium) Swiss Made, TSAR Quartz Military Divers Watch with Sapphire Crystal #WW194027

The Marathon Diver’s Quartz Medium is a dive watch built to ISO 6425 standards. The Diver’s Quartz Medium is a smaller, medium sized, version of Marathon’s line of diver’s watches. The Diver’s Quartz Medium is perfect for someone who wants a tough, reliable, and military issue dive watch, yet prefers a reduced size, yet a watch just as tough as its larger brothers.

The Diver’s Quartz Medium is a dive watch with water resistance down to 30 ATM - 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. Built from 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the Diver’s Quartz Medium is a high quality, purpose built watch that will reliably accompany you on any adventure you may embark on. The Diver’s Quartz Medium comes with a scratch resistant, sapphire glass crystal.

The Diver’s Quartz Medium includes a vulcanized rubber strap. When first worn, the strap will have no holes to put the buckle through and instead must be carefully pierced. This can be done to create a custom fit for superior comfort. The Diver’s Quartz Medium is made in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy in manufacturing. Inside the Diver’s Quartz Medium is a Swiss made, high torque, 3 jewel ETA F06 Quartz movement, the ETA F06 movement is accurate to -0.3/+0.5 seconds per day and includes an End of Life (EOL) indicator that will advance the seconds hand once every 4 seconds to inform you that a battery change is needed. The Diver’s Quartz Medium uses self contained Tritium gas tubes to ensure constant visibility in low light situations, a Tritium gas tube is placed on each hour marker as well as the seconds and minute hands, MaraGlo is used for the 12 hour bezel marker. Tritium tubes are self illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photoluminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow.

The Diver’s Quartz Medium proves that sometimes good things do come in smaller sizes, boasting the same toughness, water resistance, and movement as the larger Marathon diver’s watches, the Diver’s Quartz Medium is a compact package for those who want a lower key watch that still retains the toughness of a larger dive watch. To maintain proper tracking for maintenance, each Diver’s Quartz Medium comes individually numbered and engraved with a serial number.

    Small is the new Big

Posted by Mark Johnson on Jan 22nd 2021

Ok, so I have been into the watch hobby for a few years now. I have owned most of the usual suspects, SKX007, a Samurai, Seiko 5, Tuna, Hamilton Field Auto, Orient Mako and Ray. I have had my eye on Marathom for a while. I love this watch. I am old and wake up at night to use the restroom. No lume from any of the other watches would work at 3am, just too faint to read. This watch, is ever ready. Always luminous. So it is smaller than what I am used to, and that isn't a bad thing. The bezel action is very satisfying and so far it keeps perfect time. My only complaint is the strap is pretty short. I have tried it on a few different nato straps, and I prefer it on the rubber because I don't want it sitting up so high.off my wrist. So, if the strap was a centimeter longer, I would be giving it a 5 star. Might have to spring for the bracelet....

    Great, feature packed watch

Posted by Mark on Dec 28th 2020

This is a great, no nonsense tool watch that is packed with features. It's definitely small, but it wears fine, and the tool aesthetic keeps it from looking diminutive. The tritium is not very bright, but it is much more functional than luminova. I was worried that the depth of the dial would be weird, but it's not very noticeable in person, and it doesn't hinder legibility. Finally, it comes with a great rubber strap that is thin and comfortable. It's grippy on the inside, so it doesn't slide around. I have to earn you to not buy the bracelet. It's terrible quality at any price, but at $176 it's a total rip off.

    Great Quartz Divers Watch

This is a wonderful divers style watch if you have small wrists. It has all the features I was looking for: (sapphire crystal, tritium lighting, quartz movement ...)

    Incredible watch

Marathon sets THE standard for tool watches. This TSAR “Medium” is no exception. And Marc sells them at a great price. Always a pleasure.

    Marathon (Medium) 36mm MSAR Watch

Posted by Alan Wright on Sep 2nd 2020

It is hard to find watches that are the right size and look on my 6.4 inch wrist. These days most divers are at least 41mm and up to even 50mm. So to find a company that makes a whole line of 36mm watches is a real find, especially since they are made to such high standards. If you love dive watches and have a smaller wrist -you will not be disappointed in buying this watch from Long Island. It is a great watch from a Great Company!

    5 stars

Brilliant watch, perfect as a tough little daily beater. So far it has handled extreme temperature fluctuations and is constantly immersed in water and exposed to knocks and heavy wear. Very well manufactured all round. The tritium illumination is fantastic and has been a great conversation starter at work. The smaller size of 36mm took a little getting used to but certainly looks more complete with the addition of the stainless steel Marathon bracelet which I definitely recommend purchasing. As always the purchasing experience was brilliant from the team at Long Island Watch, thanks again!

    Great job

Posted by Nick on Nov 23rd 2019

Transport was much faster than initially stated on the purchase form. Product arrived safe, and exactly as described. I would buy again from here. Watch itself is great looks smaller than pictured but actually still has a perfect presence size. I was looking for an everyday work watch that can easily slide under fire gear. This worked perfect. Already has taken a couple knocks from the job, but brushed silver outside hides it well. I have a 6.5” wrist and it fits it perfect.

    Fantastic watch!

Posted by Cormac on Oct 22nd 2019

This watch is simply perfect. I love the size and design. The Italian made rubber strap it's supplied on is also very good quality and comfortable. Seems tough as nails too but it remains a light watch. The 36mm size wears perfectly on my 6.25 inch wrist......Only problem now is I want more marathon watches!
