The Islander Bayport is the perfect size diver for many wrists. Do you think 43mm too large? 38mm too small? Well, then the Bayport is perfect for you, right at the sweet spot of 40mm. The case is just 13.5mm thick, and a very wearable 48mm from lug to lug. But to make it even more wearable, we have utilized an H-Link bracelet with negative endlinks. This allows the bracelet to wrap comfortably around your wrist, without the endlinks sticking out. The bracelet is sized with screws, making adjustments a breeze! And to dial in that perfect fit, we include a 3-position micro adjust clasp, with push button deployant and security foldover. Tapers to 18mm at the buckle.
The watch is powered by a Seiko NH35 movement, that features both hand winding and hacking, along with a 40 hour power reserve. A date feature is located at the 3:00 position, and the color is matched to the dial color - a small detail that we feel really helps with dial symmetry. The date is outlined in a yellow gold frame, matching the applied indices. To aid in night-time viewing, the yellow gold hands and markers are generously coated with C3 Super-LumiNova.
Protecting the watch is a flat sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective coating on the underside. Surrounding the dial is a 120 click, uni-directional, ratcheting bezel with a sloped ceramic insert. The insert is also treated with C3 Super-LumiNova for low light viewing. The watch is water resistant to 200 meters, and features a screw down crown.
