We started out on a mission to create a watch with a rich Jade dial. Our journey took us here - Green Aventurine, and we are glad it did. This green dial has small reflective elements to it that create an overall pleasing effect as the light passes over. The dial itself is a polished slice of man-made stone, painstakingly refined to bring out the beauty you see. Matched with a glittery fluted bezel, gold-tone hands and markers, we think we exceeded the goal of creating a far east inspired composition. The case is a very comfortable 38mm in diameter, and is a mere 11mm thick. Weighing in at 125 grams, it sits perfectly balanced on your wrist. Beating inside is a Miyota 9015 movement that ticks along at a smooth 8 times per second.
The applied baton markers are generously filled with C3 Super-LumiNova for easy night time viewing, and the simple stick hands are polished yellow gold, also treated with C3. Covering the dial is a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the underside.
A screwdown crown ensures 100 meters of water resistance. Flipping the watch over reveals the see through exhibition caseback, where you can watch the Miyota 9015 movement in action. The caseback window is also sapphire!
Securing the ISL-180 to your wrist is a solid link, solid endlink bracelet with a 3 position micro-adjust clasp. The bracelet is easily sized with screws, and tapers from 20mm at the watch, to 16mm at the clasp.
