Island Watch and NTH have teamed up to make this limited run of NTH Vanguard watches, with a color scheme chosen by Island Watch, and only available in our store. Only 25 of these watches will be produced.

The Vanguard is based off the popular NTH 40mm V2 sub case. It is a very wearable, and comfortable, 40mm case. The thinness is held to just 11.5mm, thanks to the use of the hi-beat Miyota 90S5 movement. This high end movement beats at 28,800 beats per hour, which translates into a smooth sweeping seconds hand (ticks at 8x per second). It is also a true no-date movement, which means there is no ghost click or ghost position.

The lug tip to lug tip is held at 48mm, but the wearability is further increased through the use of negative endlinks (solid) on the beads of rice bracelet. These endlinks ensure the bracelet does not stick out past your wrist. Sizing is a breeze thanks to screwed links, and there is lots of micro-adjust in the 6 position fully milled (and logo'd) clasp.

The dial on the Vanguard is a beautiful blue, which has a radially fading pattern, adding depth to an otherwise smooth dial. Applied silver markers are generously filled with BGW9 lume to glow a nice blue at night. There are yellow accents on the dial, and they match the yellow tipped seconds hand. The hands are done in brushed steel, also filled with BGW9. A domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, coated with anti-reflective coating on the inside, will ensure your watch looks new for many years.

Instead of a conventional timing bezel, a blue steel insert is engraved with a dual time pattern. This is a very useful feature that allows the wearer to track 2 different time zones. The numbers on the blue bezel insert are also filled with luminous material. The bezel is a 120 click, uni-directional ratcheting bezel.

A smooth turning screwdown crown is located at the 3:00 position, and ensures the full 300 meters of water resistance.
