The Phoibos Proteus is back! After first coming out on distressed leather straps, the angular case Proteus returns on a lovely solid link, solid end link bracelets. The size remains the same at 42mm in diameter, and 13mm thick. The incredible water resistance of 300 meters also remains unchanged, as well as the domed, scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside.
A very interesting forged carbon fiber dial gives the watch a highly technical look. You can see the perpendicular weave on the dial. A date window is shown at the 3:00 position, and the watch is powered by a Seiko NH35 movement. The 24 jewel automatic, self winding movement both hacks (seconds hand stops when you set the time) and also allows handwinding. A power reserve of 40 hours allows you to skip a day of wearing without needing to wind it. A 120 click uni-directional, racheting bezel with lumed ceramic insert completes the look.
The bracelet is sized with screws for simple sizing, and the crown is screwdown to ensure water resistance. Copious amounts of Super-LumiNova are used to ensure excellent nighttime viewing.
