When Phoibos released the original PX021 Sea Nymph, they had an instant hit on their hands. Well, the Sea Nymph is back, and this time it is powered by an automatic, rather than a quartz movement, for a bit more sophistication.
The Sea Nymph automatic lady diver is a very wearable 38mm in diameter, and just 12mm thick to a domed, anti-reflective coated, scratch resistant sapphire crystal. At just 44mm lug tip to lug tip, it will be at home on a variety of wrist sizes. The case is a beautiful mix of polished and brushed stainless steel, with an aggressive bezel, complete with sand blasted steel insert. For low light viewing the hand and markers are generously coated with BGW9 lume, which glows a nice blue when the lights go down, but stays white in daylight.
The screwdown caseback is embossed with a deep relief of a SCUBA diver. The crown is screwdown as well, ensuring the full 200 meters of water resistance. Lastly, a framed date window is shown at 6:00, creating a very symmetric and balanced dial.
