The Vollmer W216 features a retro-styled dial (circa 1940s) with a prominent winged Vollmer logo. It is a beautifully executed 44mm WWII style German aviator watch and it has been a benchmark model in the Vollmer line up for several years.It includes a sapphire crystal, C3 SuperLuminova treated hands and dial markers, a solid stainless steel case, and a 25 jewel Swiss/ETA 2824-2 automatic movement (with hack set and rapid change date). It is fitted with a high grade, one-piece Hirsch leather strap with a buckle closure. The coin-edge crown can be rotated and used as a marker (a luminous marker is included). The Vollmer Winged Midnight is arguably the most well known and best selling Vollmer watch.
