This is a rare limited edition Vollmer Kampfgruppen type B dial watch that has not been mass produced. It is the same basic design and size as the model issued to bomber pilots during WWII. The watch is 55mm in diameter, 63mm long and 16mm thick. The case is sand blasted with a screw-in, engraved case back. It has a matte black dial with C-3 Superluminova treated Arabic numerals and hands. The oversize onion non-screw down crown allows you to adjust the time while wearing aviator gloves, and the crystal is domed mineral glass. This watch comes on a brown leather aviator-strap strap with an extension for wearing the watch on the outside of an aviator jacket sleeve. The watch is powered by a Swiss ETA 2824-2, 25-jewel COSC certified chronometer automatic (self-winding) movement. This rare oversize 55mm pilot's watch comes with wood box, papers, and it features a two year manufacturer's warranty
