Vollmer V5 Aileron Swiss ETA Automatic Aviator Watch with Sapphire Crystal, Hirsch Strap

The Vollmer V5 Aileron features a retro aviator cockpit style dial (Type B or Baumuster B, circa 1940s) that puts the minutes on the outer dial and a smaller inner dial with the hour display. It is a beautifully executed WWII style German aviator watch with a Swiss made automatic movement. It's made in Germany by Aristo-Vollmer. It includes a sapphire crystal, display back, a solid stainless steel case, and a 25 jewel Swiss/ETA automatic movement (with hack set, and date window). It is fitted with a high grade Hirsch black leather strap with a buckle closure. The V5's easy to read, larger minute markings come in very handy on short flights.

I just picked up this watch and am happy with the purchase,the only thing tha would make it better is luminous characters on the dial.

German watch/Swiss movement

Very nice price. Very nice time piece. The only thing missing or not being almost perfect is the fact that only the hands are using Super Luminova feature. If the the hours and minutes would be the same, it would make it a GREAT watch. Anyway very happy with purchase. I should return to buy the Hirsch strap. Thank you for offering these great alternative time pieces for a fraction of the price paid for the unjustified (very) high prices for the established Swiss watches.

Very pleased with product, service, delivery and packaging. LongIsland Watch informed me at every stage of the delivery process and I received the watch earlier than i had anticipated. Excellent smaller pilot style watch with very unusual dial, scratch-resistant crystal and swiss movement. Could not be happier with my purchase.
