Orient Automatic Dress Watch with White Dial, Applied Silver Hour Markers #ER24005W

This watch, as many watch enthusiasts know, is an all-time beauty. It looks more expensive than what I paid for (thanks L.I.Watch), and more importantly, it's keeping good time. I've bought watches before here and I'll be back. Thanks for the great service!!

I'm actually a bit perturbed as I've received more compliments wearing this watch than I have wearing anything ten times the price! The domed glass is absolutely stunning, and a relative rarity in watches these days. The leather strap is much more comfortable than others at the price level, and the mid-century face markers are gorgeous when they catch the light.

The Bambino is my first automatic watch, and it's a great one to start my collection with.

The Bambino series has a reputation for being the best dress watch option available at this price point. Pros: The high domed crystal is unlike any other watch you're likely to come across. The dial features sunburst brushing and is also domed, to create visual interest. The tips of the minute and second hands also curve downwards to follow the contour of the dial. This is a feature associated with vintage dress watches from the 50s, and is very cool. The leather strap is gorgeous. Cons: This watch is 40.5mm size. That's a compromise between the modern average of 42mm, and the classic average of 37mm. I personally think 39.5mm would have been optimal. The lug width is 21mm, which will be an absolute pain to find a replacement for. It also limits your options of NATO strap, should you wish to wear it that way. (If Daniel Wellington can pull it off, why not the Bambino?)

A great looking budget dress watch. As usual, it looks much better in person than in the picture on the website. Also as usual, quick shipping and excellent service from Island Watch. This is my 5th watch from them and it won't be my last.
