Citizen Promaster Eco-Drive Dual-Time Pilot Watch #BJ7010-59E

This Citizen Promaster series pilot watch comes with an Eco-Drive Caliber B877 movement that is charged by exposure to light (i.e. no battery changes). It has an insufficient charge warning and an overcharge prevention function. The power reserve is 6 months when fully charged. Its features include a 12 hour local time hands, a 24 hour sub-dial for tracking in military time or for use in monitoring a second time zone. The watch also has an inner rotating computational bezel.

The case size is 42.5mm in diameter and the matching stainless steel bracelet features a push-button clasp for easy on and off. Water resistance is 200 meters. You can download or view the product manual above.

Everything about my purchase was top notch. Before ordering, I reached out to Marc with some questions. He responded immediately and assisted with my purchase. The watch arrived much sooner than I expected. I very much appreciate that IW carries the Asian model of the watch. And, since ordering, I've discovered Marc's YouTube channel--fantastic. I look forward to getting more watches from IW.

Excellent watch so far

Only owned it for a month, but I like the look and feel on my wrist, other people have commented on it in a positive light, and it does what you want it to do - tell time accurately in an visually interesting and pleasant way. The rotation bezel is more a conversation starter than anything with practical value - at least in my life - but it is a very interesting thing to have on a watch. Hopefully it'll last as long as other Citizen watches I own.

Package arrived on time (within 2 weeks). Condition of the watch was excellent. I had to pay extra 55EURO for customs here in Ireland.

This is the Asian/European variant of the Nighthawk. Very versatile and manages to be the both toolish and dressy at the same time. Bracelet has solid links and is the most comfortable I've ever worn.

Great Pilot Watches

At this price point, the Citizen Promaster BJ7010-59E is one of two legendary pilot watches. The other being the Seiko Flightmaster SNA411. I now own both. Both are quartz, but the Eco Drive is a solar charging system with a life span of 20 years. While all the necessary features of a pilot watch are found on each of these two watches, the Citizen looks less busy, due to its internal bezel. The case and band on the Citizen have a sand-blasted look and are quite comfortable on the wrist.
