This is a newly styled aviator watch with easy to read luminous hour markers and white minute markers both on the outer and inner dial. The distinctive hour, minute and seconds hands are luminous and contrast nicely off the black dial. A date window is provided at the 3:00 position and it can be set with the easy-grip crown. Inside is a 22-jewel automatic, self-winding movement that is viewable via an exhibition case back. This version comes on a brown leather strap.

    This is truly an excellent value. The movement is so far keeping excellent time with vary little variance to the actual time each day. The strap is wider than usual and provides a great look against the black dial. It's not too large - may 41 mm or so, just the right size for my wrist. It's lightweight and comfortable to wear. One issue I had was with the deployment clasp that comes with the strap. I could not figure out how to attach it so that it would function. I took it to my jeweler who was able to figure it out with a little effort. If you run into this problem, call Island Watch and they can step you through how it works. Don't let the band issue stop you from buying the watch.

    The watch was fine. Have only had a short time but the ordering process went smooth and delivery was prompt. I do think the watch is a good value. However, the band that came with it was something else. We could not figure out how to work it. I took it to my local jeweler thinking that they could figure it out for me. Neither of the two jewelers could figure out how to close the band. I tried going on YouTube to see if there was a video about it. The work videos about the watch but nothing on how to work the class on its band. I ended up putting an old band that I have from my previous watch on this new one.
