The AVI-8 Hawker Hurricane Bader Chronograph watch is a unique collaborative timepiece that commemorates and draws inspiration from the life, times and ethos of Sir Douglas Bader (1910 – 1982). The Bader Chronograph Limited edition pays particular homage to his time as Wing Commander of No. 242 Canadian Squadron and his Hawker Hurricane. Each watch is uniquely numbered and one of a highly limited edition of 726 pieces. The watch comes on a leather strap and includes a second nylon strap. Lug width is 22mm.

The watch has a sixty minute stopwatch function, a seconds counter, and a 24-hour sub-dial. The chapter ring also provides a 24-hour time scale. The date is shown at 6:00 on the dial. The stainless steel case is 43mm in diameter and 13mm thick. Tip to tip measure 50mm. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters but it is not recommended for swimming.

    Always a pleasure to shop here! This is a special edition model from AVI-8, and, of the many aviation and pilot styles on the market, while this is not blessed with higher end materials, the build is solid and the design is superior. I love what this brand is doing in terms of styling. This one came very nicely boxed up, had an added nylon strap and strap tool, a notation with a bit of history about the man it was made to celebrate, and my brother, to whom I gifted it, just absolutely is thrilled with it. This is a brand I'd like to see go upscale in the future, since, in terms of appearance, I really think they make some of the best looking pilot watches around, and I'd have no issue spending more, for a Swiss auto version with sapphire. GREAT watch!
