G-Shock Casio

With the launch of its G-Shock in 1983, Casio's "Project Team Tough" had spent two years and developed over 200 prototypes to create a watch that was shock-resistant, breaking the conventional wisdom that watches were fragile. The challenge was to create a watch that would not break even if dropped.

G-Shock entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry was discovering new digital technology and pushed boundaries not seen using lighter and stronger materials in the affordable, durable and beloved design.
