Following the design philosophy of the highly successful Dievas Maya comes the Maya Mk2. This facelift made improvements to an already very good looking watch. The dial and hands design are the biggest difference between the two watches. The new Maya dial feature a more premium design with white hour index and "ghost" minute markers that only appears when they catch the light. This effect tidies up the dial giving it a sense of space resulting in a visually bigger watch as compared to the original. On the top, the hands are also redesigned. The new minute hand is outlined in red for easy time reference. Overall, a refreshing dial design which is both unique and premium looking.

On the outside, the case has been re-engineered for a slimmer profile. This allows the watch to sit flatter on the wrist. Up to 36% more contact now on the wrist as compared to the original. The slimmer profile together with the curved lugs allow the watch to flow and wraps around the wrist. This results in a better and more comfortable fit. Last but not least, the crown is redesigned for a smoother crown operation and engraved with the Dievas logo for more identity.

Ticking away in the heart of the Maya Mk2 is the ever so reliable and proven Swiss Made ETA2824-2, modded to Dievas specifications. Each watch is adjusted to its maximum efficiency for accuracy.

Made entirely in Germany, the 6Steel multi-pieced watch cases are firstly CNC in Germany using the best modern equipment and then finish and polish by an experienced hand on site. This is shown through its well defined lines, finished edges and beaming luster. Holding a 6Steel Dievas watch case, one can immediately feel its quality and its cut above the rest. Such a high caliber case is an essential ingredient in fabricating a strong foundation prior to undergoing advanced metallurgy treatment. Dievas together with one of the Europe’s most established materials engineering company, partner to implement 6Steel hardening to watchmaking. For around 20 days, the steel will undergo high tech heating procedures that will amplify the hardness of the watchcase to 1300Hv, approximately 6 times the hardness of stainless steel. This greatly improves scratch and abrasion resistance. This process is executed to every part including the crown and caseback.

Overbuilt is further extended to its water resistant capability. With a thick extra clear Swiss sapphire crystal (VisTec Anti-Reflective coating on the underside) on top and multiple gasket case back. The watch is water resistant and individually tested to at least 1888metres/6000feet.

Another significant attribute of the 6Steel Maya Mk2 is its anti-magnetic feature. The watch case is designed to include a faraday cage. This meant that the watch movement is completely encased in a separate compartment made out of a highly permeable material(soft iron). Even the watch dial is made of a special material to complete the perfect sealant. Fully operational, the soft iron chamber shields the movement from electric fields by distributing static and magnetic radiation only along its exterior while canceling out electric charges or radiation within its interior, good for protection up to 1000 gauss or 80,000 A/m. This is almost 17 times more than a standard issued Anti-Magnetic watch rated to DIN 8309 (Deutsche Industrie Norm - German Industry Norm) standards. Armed with this feature, the MAYA will continue to operate flawlessly if one needs work done in a high radiation environment even to the extent of a nuclear uranium enrichment facility.
