The Islander Mitchel ISL-129 classic field watch has a black dial and innovative day and date display at the 6:00 position. The dial has a 12-hour scale and a smaller 24-hour scale for military time. The hour and minute hands are filled with SuperLuminova as are the 5-minute markers around the dial. The DLC stainless steel case is a very wearable 39mm in diameter and it is 12mm thick. Lug to lug (or tip to tip) measurement is 48.5mm. The crown is a signed screw-down type that enables a better water resistance rating of 100-meters.

Inside the case is an NH36A, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. You can view the movement via an exhibition-window (screw-down) caseback.

The ISL-187 has an innovative day and date display viewed at 6:00 on the dial. Due to the configuration of the day wheel, there is only one language (English). You will note that the dial has excellent visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches.

This model comes with a black color woven nylon strap with leather backing and a signed stainless steel buckle. The strap comes with quick-release pins so you can change up the look with another strap without the need for any special tools. Just use your index finger.

“The isl187 fitts my 7¼ wrist very well. The fitt and finish of the watch is on parr with similar Hamilton watches. Shipping and service from longisland watch was as always, outstanding.
The Isl187 arrived packaged in a small shipping box that held packing material crumpled paper. The watch box is simple. Constructed of quality material and the colours and design are very well presented and crisp. The was on a white cotton barbie pillow. Inexpensive but not cheap. The watch face was wraped and protected in that thick cling film watchs are usually wrapped in. I would strongly recommend any of the island Mitchel watches over a seiko or Hamilton field watch.”
