Islander White Dial Automatic Dive Watch with AR Double Dome Sapphire Crystal, and 120-click Bezel #ISL-56

The Islander ISL-56 has the familiar look of an iconic dive watch which has been discontinued. The Islander version mimics the original but, it has an all solid link bracelet that uses screws for sizing (instead of the very fussy pin and collar system). The upgraded bracelet also features a more robust milled deployant clasp with a dual-push button release. Another Islander upgrade is a double-dome sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective (inside only) coating that provides scratch protection and a clearer view of the dial and time. Note: This is a new version of the ISL-56 with blue 15 minute markings on the bezel.

The movement is a 24-jewel NH36 automatic that offers you the same reliable performance as later editions of this iconic dive watch. The snow white dial features ice blue hands and hour markers coated with SuperLuminova for reading the time in the dark. The day and date window is in the familiar 3:00 position.

The lugs are drilled for bracelet to dive strap changes. Lug width is 20mm. The case size is 42mm diameter by 13mm thick. 47mm tip to tip. Finish is brushed and polished. The crown and caseback are screw-in and the uni-directional rotating (slightly concave) bezel is a 120-click with a luminous PIP. Water resistance is 200 meters.

I purchased 2 watches. I like the monster look a lot, so I wanted this as an option. However, my wife loved the look. She even put it on to see if she could wear it… a little too big for her wrist, but she has her eye on the no date Robins egg dial. Marc did a great job on these watches. And it give the wife and I options for daily wearing. I’ve only worn the Omega once since buying. Great weight and look. Lume is outstanding. But one! You won’t regret it!

This is the 2nd Islander watch I've purchased from Marc and I was not disappointed. Shipped right away and delivered on time and in good condition. Watch is running slow like maybe 2-3 seconds a day, it is definitely the most accurate automatic I own. Very pleased with this purchase and will certainly purchase from Marc again!

This is a stunning watch that offers great value, great looks, and excellent construction. A total home run with the ice blue and white dial and overall look and finish that exceeds Seiko standards with, especially, the double dome sapphire crystal and quality bracelet. The lume is superb - can almost shave by it. Only thing holding me back from five stars is, as other reviewers have pointed out, that the bezel action should be improved and tightened. Mine does not skip, but to get it to line up (in that way all of us obsessives love) perfectly also takes a tiny fiddle -- but it will if coaxed. All in all, these are niggles regarding a great watch at a great price. Well done, Marc, and certain NOT to be my last Islander.

This a beautiful well made watch. Great lume . Great value. The ice blue marked and hands make this a stunning watch. Good job Island Watch
