Islander x StrapHabit x Brodinkee "MWP" (Men Wear Pink) Charity Watch #ISL-342

In partnership with StrapHabit and Brodinkee, the Islander "MWP" watch was created to raise money for the American Cancer Society. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the watch will be donated. It is a limited edition of 200 units, so together, we can help to donate $69,800 to the American Cancer Society.

The watch is based on the popular SKX007 platform. It is a 42mm case that is 13.2mm thick and 45.5mm on the lug to lug. The black dial has pink highlights and a date window with pink writing on a black background. The date for "7" has been replaced with the familiar ACS ribbon (see note from StrapHabit founder Nick below). The 120 click unidirectional coinedge bezel is done in DLC black, and is topped with a sapphire bezel insert that is pink and black. The crown is also done in DLC black.  The crystal is a flat sapphire, within blue inner AR. The dial and hands have been treated with Superluminova, to ensure excellent low-light visibility.

The caseback has the look of the standard Islander caseback, but a pink ribbon has replaced the Islander logo. The serial number is etched on the caseback (limited run of 200) and the collaborators are etched as well, with the "B" in StrapHabit done in the likeness of the Brodinkee logo.

Securing the MWP to your wrist is a polished centerlink "scales" type bracelet. It tapers from 22mm at the lug, to 18mm at the 3 position micro-adjust clasp. The endlinks are solid, and the bracelet is easy to size with screws, using the included screwdriver. 

The watch also includes a 22mm black and pink StrapHabit Sailcloth Deployant Strap complete with quick release pins. This is the same design as the Brodinkee x StrapHabit 2025 Men Wear Pink Sailcloth straps, but with the colors reversed to match the limited edition watch. A StrapHabit/Brodinkee logo is discreetly hidden on the inside of the 20mm brushed silver clasp. The deployant design means that the tail end of the strap is captured and will not flop around. It includes a 70mm and 90mm top strap to fit a wide range of wrist sizes and a 110mm tail piece to tuck under.

Brodinkee is a content creator and satirist that has entertained watch enthusiasts for nearly a decade. In 2021, he began doing work with the American Cancer Society to raise money to combat breast cancer through a program named Men Wear Pink (MWP). To date, over $50,000 has been raised in tandem with Straphabit.

I first joined up with Brodinkee in 2022 to raise money by selling pink watch straps after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I wanted to do something for her, but felt helpless.
