Each watch features an individually numbered case back and a side case engraving of Marathon's historic ADANAC branding, paying homage to Canada's rich military heritage.

Limited to just 157 pieces, the 41mm ADANAC Arctic Red Maple GSAR commemorates Canada’s 157th anniversary. With a stark white dial adorned with a striking Red Maple Leaf appliqué, this exclusive edition honours our nation's rich military heritage. Each watch bears a unique serial number and is engraved with Marathon's historic ADANAC branding— embodying Canadian pride and resilience. During Marathon's history supplying Allied Forces, select government contracts included rigid restrictions that prohibited branding on timepieces. In a nod to our own heritage and to ensure wearers knew that their trusted timepiece was born right here in the North, Marathon included the word "ADANAC" on the dial of these watches— Canada spelled backwards. Models featuring the unique ADANAC marking are exceptionally rare and are known now as coveted collector's items.

Designed in Canada and Swiss-made for premium precision, the ADANAC Arctic Red Maple GSAR features a 26 Jewel Sellita SW200-1 movement with Incabloc shock absorber. Standard to the GSAR Series, this watch is engineered for use by professional Search And Rescue (SAR) technicians and is purpose-built inside and out. The watch includes a 316L stainless steel case with a brushed finish, a knurled screw-down crown, and our signature oversized unidirectional 60-minute dive bezel. The ADANAC Arctic Red Maple GSAR is also equipped with tritium gas tubes on all hour markers and the full hand set for constant illumination in low light conditions. Rated for 30ATM, the watch is built to function at depths of up to 300M (1000FT) underwater. Paired with the ADANAC Arctic Red Maple GSAR is our FKM rubber strap.

Marathon Search and Rescue (SAR) watches are developed to Canadian Government requirements for use in professional SAR operations. First introduced in the early 1990s, the SAR Series continues to be an essential kit element for elite members of both the Canadian and U.S. militaries.

Submersible up to 30ATM and available in 46mm, 41mm, and 36mm iterations, these tool watches are fitted with knurled, screw-down crowns; iconic unidirectional, fully hashed bezels with 60-minute scales; highly legible dials outfitted with tritium tubes and MaraGlo luminescent material; and solid 316L stainless steel cases to provide ultimate endurance above or below sea-level.

Features a 3 Piece Rubber Strap System (made in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland) crafted from FKM Rubber to meet the requirements of high-performance military applications. The 3-Piece system comes with one (6 o'clock) tail piece with 8 adjustment holes, and two (12 o'clock) buckle pieces of different sizing that allow the wearer to tailor the length to fit their wrist size.
