The Marathon Divers Automatic WW194006 is a dive watch built to ISO 6425 standards. Designed for use by Search and Rescue (SAR) divers, and issued to the United States Marine Corps, the Divers Automatic is a watch built to withstand the most extreme of conditions The Diver's Automatic is also known as the Government Search and Rescue (GSAR).

The watch is water resistant down to 30 ATM - 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. Built from 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the Divers Automatic is a high quality, purpose built watch that will reliably accompany you on any adventure you may embark on. The Divers Automatic uses a scratch resistant, sapphire glass crystal.

The Divers Automatic is made in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy in manufacturing. Inside the Divers Automatic is a Swiss Marathon M2, 26 jewel Sellita SW200 automatic movement, the Divers Automatic guarantees you a reliable and accurate timekeeping experience. The Divers Automatic uses self contained Tritium gas tubes to ensure constant visibility in low light situations, a gas tube is placed on each hour marker and hands and uses MaraGlo for the 12 hour bezel marker. Tritium tubes are self illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photoluminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow.

Features a 3 Piece Rubber Strap System (made in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland) crafted from FKM Rubber to meet the requirements of high-performance military applications. The 3-Piece system comes with one (6 o'clock) tail piece with 8 adjustment holes, and two (12 o'clock) buckle pieces of different sizing that allow the wearer to tailor the length to fit their wrist size.

The Marathon Divers Automatic combines Military toughness with Swiss craftsmanship in a watch that will get the job done, and look good doing it.

“This was my first “expensive” watch and I love it and feel like it’s worth the money. I started my watch journey with the usual suspects (seiko 5, orient, gshock) but I wanted something higher end that I could stick with for many years that was also tactical and had military heritage. Through that lens the gsar nearly stands alone (I strongly considered the sinn U50/1 as well).

The build quality is incredibly high. The difference between this and my seiko 5 srpd53 is massive. This thing is built like a tank. Also I really like the rubber strap and don’t regret not getting the bracelet. With the rubber strap this watch feels like a very tactical dive watch which I love. I also got some nato straps and tried those out but, for now, it’ll stay on the rubber strap.

My only complaint about it is I wish it were bigger. The reviews online make it seem like this watch is huge but it really isn’t. It will surprise you by how small it is in person. 44mm would have been *perfect* for my 7-1/4” wrist. But I’m adjusting to the smaller size and I love it regardless. The jumbo was a tad too large and pricey for my tastes.

So yes, fantastic watch that I’m excited to wear for many years to come and is exactly the level of tactical quality I was hoping for and you will absolutely notice the quality difference over entry level automatic divers.”

“This Marathon GSAR screams quality. The dial is small but easy to read. The fine print and numerals are legible but it's the hour markers and 1-12 numerals that jump out at a glance. The tritium markers are easy to see at night and the orange 12 o'clock marker orients the watch.

This is my first automatic watch. The movement is starting to settle in but I don't know yet if it will need to be regulated. It's keeping better time than it did the first few days.

The rubber strap is super flexible and comfortable. It narrows to 18mm allowing complete freedom of movement of the wrist. I put a Borealis dive strap on it anyway because I like those.

I don't know if the movement and features of this watch justify the price but I like the watch a lot and was able to get it on sale with an additional discount as a first time customer. This watch is worth it to me.
