This is the highly anticipated new Orient USA #AA0200BD watch that is powered by a 22-jewel, Caliber F69 automatic movement. This new movement is self-winding, hand winding, and it hacks (second hand halts when you pull out the crown). In addition to the new improved movement, the new Orient watch has an improved uni-directional bezel with 120 clicks, and it has a new case design (gone is the quick day pusher at 2:00) for a trimmer, more simplified look. The day and date window is the same, but you adjust both via the screw-down crown. The case size comes in at 41.5mm in diameter and it's about 13mm thick. As always, you get an excellent stainless steel bracelet with a smooth operating push-button deployant clasp (a hallmark of Orient watches).

The original and #AA0200BD was an all-time best seller for Orient. The new movement, 120-Click bezel and sapphire crystal has already made this Orient a huge success. It is a very popular watch.

    The watch I received is running under +1 second per day on the wrist and off the wrist with dial up overnight. Specifically four days ago, I set the time and it has gained under a second in that time period. [Your results may vary. :-) ] On my 6.75" wrist it looks nice. I hope that LIW will offer more upgrades and mods for this model. Right now, I moved it from the very nice bracelet to a black rubber strap. I think this would look nice with a rally / rugby strap, maybe with some blue or white accent thread. I'd recommend a tapering band since the 22 lug width does seem a bit large on this size watch. The externally drilled lugs really help with strap changes, and the case is shaped to accommodate NATO bands. I also received a compliment when I had a Milanese band on it. Thumbs up, LIW!

    I never though I would wear a blue dial watch, but this diver blew me away! The watch feels so much more expensive, looks so much more expensive and performs so much more expensive. I work in the luxury watch industry and even watch geeks have stopped me thinking I'm wearing a Rolex. It is no homeage to any watch, this Mako USA II it's its own thing. Orient really outdid themselves with this one. So happy with my purchase, especially with the super professional IslandWatch. These guys took good care with the shipping and in less than a couple of days, I was rocking my time piece at a party.
