This is the highly anticipated new Orient USA #AA0200BD watch that is powered by a 22-jewel, Caliber F69 automatic movement. This new movement is self-winding, hand winding, and it hacks (second hand halts when you pull out the crown). In addition to the new improved movement, the new Orient watch has an improved uni-directional bezel with 120 clicks, and it has a new case design (gone is the quick day pusher at 2:00) for a trimmer, more simplified look. The day and date window is the same, but you adjust both via the screw-down crown. The case size comes in at 41.5mm in diameter and it's about 13mm thick. As always, you get an excellent stainless steel bracelet with a smooth operating push-button deployant clasp (a hallmark of Orient watches).

The original and #AA0200BD was an all-time best seller for Orient. The new movement, 120-Click bezel and sapphire crystal has already made this Orient a huge success. It is a very popular watch.

    This watch is very nice. The pictures do not do the blue dial justice - it's a darker, navy blue with a sunburst effect. In dim lighting it appears nearly black. In bright sunshine, it shines beautifully. The bracelet is solid, much nicer than I was expecting. The hacking/hand winding movement is great as well. The only issue I have is with the crown action - it's a screw-down crown, and you screw it clockwise to screw it down. You also screw the crown clockwise to hand wind the movement. The threads on the screw-down are very fine, and it seems very easy to accidentally cross the threads. Plus the crown is a bit small so it's hard to grip. This is a minor gripe of an otherwise excellent watch.

    Great watch. Solid, nice quality, keeping good time. The blue is gorgeous, much nicer in person. I was deciding between an SKX and this, I’m happy I went with the Mako II.

    I started wearing a watch again about 1 year ago. I had some fairly inexpensive watches that had worn for years. Mark's Videos got me excited about watches again and I started looking for a Blue Dial watch. His review of the Orient Mako USA was exactly what I was looking for and the price was very reasonable - especially once you have the watch in your hands. I have worn it almost everyday since I received it and many of my friends have asked about it. Simply put - I couldn't be happier with my Orient - Long Island Watch and Mark Chris

    Outstanding! The Mako USA II is impressive and the Island Watch price point can not be beaten. The Orient Mako II and Mako USA II are perhaps the best general dive watch on the markect today. It has jsut the right amount of ventage Japan Diver vibe and modern engenering. Overall the Island Watch experience is superior. Good to go.

    A beautiful sunburst affect, great solid case, hacking and hand winding +2 to +6 a day, solid bracelet, perfectly aligned indices, great lume, solid bezel action, 200m water resistance, and just amazing to look at...for $200? It’s a must buy and I love mine. You won’t regret this purchase.
