Orient Ray Black Dial 21-Jewel Automatic Dive Watch on Rubber Strap #EM6500BB

The new Orient EM6500BB is nick named the Ray. It is similar to the Orient Mako series but the Ray has stronger (i.e. brighter) luminous material on the hour markers and hands. It comes with a black dial, black 60 click uni-directional dive bezel, 21-jewel automatic movement, a quick set day and date, screw down crown, and a superb black rubber dive strap with a dolphin logo.

I bought this watch to use as an outdoor watch, and it works for that purpose very well. I've had the watch now for about 3 weeks or so. Pros: Nice in house automatic mechanical movement, good looks, excellent readability, lume that lasts all night long, nice rubber strap, good build quality, rugged construction. Cons: Bezel is a bit tough to grab to turn, minor quibble though. Over all rating is excellent buy and highly recommended.

The orient black ray on rubber strap is one fine looking watch. very comfortable to wear, and has good lume. It has a quality feel to it and is keeping good time. The long power reserve is a plus for Orient. I recommend this watch highly. Shipping was prompt.

The watch has served me well the past 2 weeks, the in house made 21 jewel automatic movement has kept phenominal time. all in all you get an in house made automatic movement at an affordable price.

I've owned or one Rolex and Brietling watches. No, the Orient isn't up in the line where they are but it is a very nice watch. Especially for the cost. This was my first Orient purchase and was not really sure what to expect of a watch that cost just a hair over $100. So far I have been very pleased with the craftsmanship and quality of this watch. Keeps accurate time and looks much better than the price would indicate. Very pleased with the watch and the customer service of Long Island Watch.
