A really nice watch for the $. The applied index markers give the dial a very attractive and expensive look. My only minor quibble is the background of the date wheel is a silver which looks nice, but depending on light reflection can sometimes be difficult to see at a glance. A minor thing which should by no means dissuade you from this handsome day/date automatic. I would highly recommend.

My second automatic orient. I was a Swiss automatic snob until I researched and learned for a fraction of the price I can buy in my opinion the same Swiss quality from a Japanese watch and the best part of it is I've spent more in repairs and maintenance on my Swiss pieces than what I've paid for my orient. After receiving a Bambino V3 as a gift, I purchased this Starfish Day/Date. I am just as impressed with it as I am the Bambino. It is a bit flashier than I expected, but the build quality is top notch. At the price, you'll be hard pressed to find a better watch. The case is solid, the band is well made and comfortable and the movement is pretty accurate. This watch will go well with jeans or business casual. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quality timepiece at a great price.

The pictures don't do the watch service. The face of the watch is perfect, not to small and not to big. If you are on the fence about this watch, just buy it. Great customer service.
