Orient 42mm Starfish Day and Date Automatic Watch with Black Dial #EM7J00BB

Granted this is an early review, I've only owned this watch for 48 hours but here goes. I am very pleased with the quality of the appearance, this does not look like an inexpensive watch. There is no hacking function, and it is possible to change the day setting with the stem in the inner most position. That said, it would be very difficult to do unless the button was struck by something. The leather band is nice and looks more expensive than it is. So far, it's kept excellent time. Plus about 2 seconds after 16 hours wear and 8 hours in a dial up position overnight. I have some MUCH more expensive mechanical watches that won't do that. So, I'm hopeful for the long term accuracy. Lume is okay with indoor light; unfortunately it's been raining for two days and I haven't been able to expose it to sunlight.

The combination of styling and features on the Starfish make it an excellent everyday automatic. The face is clean, and the hands and indices are luminous, ensuring anytime readability. The leather band is robust and equally at home with a tee or a button-down. And the movement requires little time on the wrist to keep running for days. The Starfish is definitely a stylish workhorse.

Just like the previous watch, it's great. I really like the way it shines and stands out from my old analog Casio watches. I'd definitely recommend a watch like this to someone that wants something nice without breaking the bank. Thanks, Island Watch.
