Orient Advancer Automatic Sport Watch with a White Dial and Open Date Window #ER28004W

The Orient Advancer is a straightforward, handsomely dressed timepiece complete with date function and contrasting dial. Power reserve on this model is approximately 40 hours when fully wound. It features the Orient caliber 48749 automatic (self-winding) movement. Water resistance is 100 meters or 330 feet.

    Decent

Posted by Manny Pujols on Jan 4th 2015

I think there should be some half stars for the review. I feel it's better than good but not as high as excellent. So far, I've set it up and sized it. Feels good on the wrist and it is keeping time very well - the sweeping second hand is very smooth. I like it.

    172 grams of quality.

This watch is very heavy and robust. Will look better on a bigger wrist. The fit and finish are excellent. Now about a couple things I do not care for. The design of the hands. The contrast is very poor. The lume is very weak, so you cannot tell the time in a semi-dark room. You better buy one with black dial. The 5 date aperture is fancy but three dates would be enough. I had the watch for 10 days and it is CONSISTENTLY -7 seconds a day. Will try to store it dial up overnight and see if it speeds up for a couple of seconds. The most important quality is the consistency. This is my first Orient and I am sure it is not the last one. Island Watch has been great. Very fast shipping via Priority mail, well packed.

    Outstanding watch

This is a great watch at it's retail price but at $99 it is incredible. Seriously $99 for a quality automatic watch made in Japan? I should also mention that is it beautiful. A large face that I am liking more and more as I get older. It is masculine, handsome and accurate. I don't go for window back movements but I like this one. I also take it snokling here in Hawaii...it can go down to 100 ft. It was shipped in a real nice box and a polishing cloth. Thanks for the deal Island Watch

    Good watch bad packaging

Watch was nice as expected, packaging was very bad. Watch box was dented, not enough to go to the trouble returning. I will look elsewhere next time.
