Orient 21-Jewel Automatic Field Watch with 24-Hour Sub-Dial #ET0N002K

I own several Orient watches already and have never been disappointed in the quality and accurate timekeeping. The Defender is the same. The slate dial was the selling point for me. It's very distinctive and really looks different under varied lighting. If this watch has a downside it's the screw down crown. It definitely feels gritty and a bit stiff to open or close, worrisome really. But I haven't had to set the time too much since it has been on my wrist regularly since it arrived. Island Watch had the best price I could find on this one. I will almost certainly buy from them again.

Great service with good prices especially the Black Friday and Holiday Specials. It made punching fine Orient watches irrisistable. I am interested in purchasing the Orient Monarch model when you have it available especially if on sale. I am also interested in purchasing a Laco pilot's watch mechanical movement when it goes on sale. Please email me when this occurs as I have maxed out my watch budget fot the next 3 months. It is just a solid watch for the price the applied markers give it a nice 3D effect and the sub dials add some interest.

This is a great watch, easy to read and looks great on my wrist. It comes with a nice leather band, however, I put a nato band on it for the coming hot summer months. Have had this watch a few weeks so far it seems to be very accurate.

Why this watch does not get more attention and reviews is a puzzle to me cause it's a great field watch....and a great watch overall. Features like 24hr indicator and day-of-week dial is fantastic. The size is perfect on my 6.75" wrist. Screw-down crown is a bonus. Compare to other options out there for this style of watch.....this one is a clear winner.
