So the Wave Master collection has recently expanded with the introduction of the PY053 models, which have a smaller size and significant enhancements and improvements over its predecessor. Additionally, a wider selection of dial materials and colorways are displayed in two variations, one with a date function and one without.

Building on the iconic look of the Wave Master line-up, a range of stunning dial styles are available this time including the classic black dial, the one-of-a-kind abalone dial, the ever-popular purple gradient dial, the timelessly elegant MOP dial, and the mesmerizing dark blue aventurine dial. The aventurine dial is both extraordinary and sparkling., with speckled shimmering particles that evoke the beauty of a starry night sky. Each abalone watch dial is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that emits a dazzling array of colors as it catches the light. Meanwhile, the signature engraved wave pattern plays amazingly in different lights on the other diverse dial materials. Each dial is meticulously crafted to offer a unique visual experience, catering to different tastes and styles.

Each dial type comes in both a date (REF.PY053_D) and no-date (REF.PY053_N) version by utilizing two different Miyota movements. The date version is powered by the Caliber 9015 and the no-date one is driven by the Caliber 9039 that is a genuine no-date movement without a phantom crown position. By offering diverse options, we ensure that each watch aligns perfectly with your style and functional needs. The date version is practical and convenient for everyday use, while the no-date version offers an uncluttered and clean look.

More importantly, the case size has been reduced to 39.5 x 46 mm, and its thickness has been slimmed down to 11.6mm. The case downsizing has also led to the decrease of the bracelet thickness to 3.3 mm, complemented by an on-the-fly adjustable clasp and quick-release spring bars for added convenience. The on-the-fly adjustable clasp allows quick and easy resizing of the bracelet without tools, ensuring a perfect fit on the wrist at any time. Meanwhile, the quick-release spring bars make swapping bands effortless. A reduction in dimensions but certainly not in appeal. This compact one is a welcomed addition to sit alongside the classic larger 42mm models, and will no doubt invite fans of more restrained proportions to discover the ocean aesthetic of Wave Master.

Another enhancement is the use of Grade A Super-Luminova, which delivers exceptional visibility in low-light conditions with its superior brightness. This advanced material retains its glow for extended periods after exposure to light, whether natural or artificial. We’ve also ensured continued durability and functionality with features such as a flat sapphire crystal with AR coating on the inside, and a stainless steel screw-down crown and caseback, and 200-meter water resistance, etc.
