The Reactor Atom 68891 model watch comes with a black dial with Never Dark™ Illumination. The black Nitride plated stainless steel case measures in at 42.25mm in diameter - a nice size that just about anyone can wear. The screw-down crown is protected with tapered extensions on the side of the case. The dial features both a day and date readout at the 3:00 position. There is a forged (screw-in) case back and the black rubber strap is secured to the case with solid screw bars (rather than push-pins). The watch will come to you nestled inside Reactor's distinctive cylinder container.

Never Dark™ Illumination: is the first technology to combine the intense brightness of Superluminova with the multi-year longevity of tritium (tritium glows continuously without the need for charging via a light source), providing optimal illumination under all lighting conditions. Because it can take up to 30 minutes for the human eye to fully adjust to the dark, Superluminova's intense peak brightness makes a Never Dark™ watch easily visible during this initial period.

This can be even more important when moving repeatedly from light to dark (such as when going below deck on a boat during the day), as the Superluminova will continually recharge and the eye will not have time to adjust.
