The watch arrived quickly and in perfect condition! It's the perfect size for my small wrist. I'll definitely be buying from here again.

This is the first time I ordered through Island Watch and everything went perfect. The Alpinist is a great addition to my other watches and I definitely will do more business with Island Watch.

I was patiently waiting for a green Alpinist Field Watch to become available anywhere. When I found it on LongIslandWatch I jumped at the chance to purchase it. Been watching Marc's videos and have grown to appreciate his candor and knowledge and have grown to trust him with my money. Although Marc personally is not enamored with this Seiko model (lol) I appreciate the availability he provided. He could have just thought it is a slow seller so I won't stock it. I received the watch quickly and in perfect condition for an appropriate price. As an aside I use the compass dial as a pseudo-dive timer using the North indicator. Hey! it works. Been reading on and off about the Alpinist. wanting something smaller and different from my divers and flight watches. 39mm, sapphire crystal and good reputation, I do also know it's a love it or indifference. Except for the band love it, seems to keep good time, had a similar grand 20mm NATO and saving for a Strapcode. I don't know why ,just love wearing it. Also it has a sapphire crystal. My other options were a Hamilton Cooper or similar. I find myself more drawn to the Alpinist. Since these are a JDM product, trust and buying through Marc helps. If a person wants a well made "different" watch, it is a viable option..

If you are outside the US, read this review! Watch - 4/5. The dial and hands are more beautiful in person than in the pictures, and if you bought this watch, you bought it for that dial. If this fits any aesthetic of yours, you won't regret it. The leather band is absolute rubbish, be prepared to change it. The first watch I received was defective and could not be hand wound. Customer service 5/5 First watch arrived without hand winding working. Marc (the owner of this site) had a replacement in the post within a few days. No questions asked, and no hassle. If you're outside the US, import costs, and the time and cost to return, are things you have to be prepared to bear on occasion. Even good vendors will have the odd defective product. Thankfully, you can trust Marc to honour his warranty and return policy without hassle, and that is peace of mind you won't get from many. I will definitely shop again. Overall review 5/5 based on customer service.

I love the watch. I like it's uniqueness and the internal compass dial is cool. Made me learn how to use it. Anyway, a great addition to my collection.
