Squale 300 meter Swiss Automatic GMT watch with Ceramic Bezel, AR Sapphire Crystal #1545GM-CER-VIN

This is a beguiling watch. At first, my impressions were that it was a bit small and even contemplated a return.. But the weight seemed substantial for a watch of this size—more than I anticipated. The bracelet solid with screw lugs. I pulled out my Rolex Batman GMT, a nearly identical sized watch and found the Rolex slightly lighter and the bracelet feeling a lower quality—or at least not any better than the Squale. I realize an unusual comparison. The Squale GMT matched finishes. A brighter and easier face to read with the anti-reflective coating. Each facet I found myself comparing. Undoubtedly, the Rolex exceeded quality in several areas such as the scribed detail inside the bezel (although the Squale’s inside trim ring is slightly angled creating an amazing reflection.) A better crown on the Rolex, but it should be. The diver’s adjustable clasp on the Rolex (but I am not sure I ever needed it on a GMT watch and sometimes the extension clasp opened to quickly). And so, yes, I compared $14,000 watch to an $800. Slipped it on after an easy removal of 4 links owing to the screws and the weight disappeared on my wrist. I find myself forgetting it is on my wrist and even fell asleep wearing it. Then, cut the grass and accomplished some plantings in the yard, also forgetting to take it off. 2 1/2 days and she is + 7 seconds. Can there really be a watch of this quality at this price? It must be a trick or maybe the Rolex is the most over-inflated watch I own in my collection.. After a chest of many high-end watches, this Squale GMT stacks up to those costing thousands and thousands more. My wife looked at the watch and dubbed it “the Pumpkin.” Admittedly pumpkins are solid orange with black cut outs—but, somehow it sticks. Bravo Squale.

This watch just feels premium, well above the low price point. The color on the lumed pieces on the face is nice and give it a real vintage look but I’m not crazy about how orange the numbers on the bezel are. I’ve only had it for a month so durability is still TBD.

This watch looks much better in person than the picture. Love the copper tone on the bezel. Watch keeps great time and the shipping was really fast. Great experience with Marc and the Long Island Team.

This has become one of my favorite watches. I own a couple of Omegas and this Squale is right up there as far as looks go. Its a very wearable watch and looks great on my wrist.

Overall, I'm glad to own this watch. I love dive watches, can't afford a (Insert your favorite brand). I wanted a classic design, with a decent mechanical movement, and it had to be built fairly well. Can't go wrong with the Sellita movement. The bracelet is built with a pin design that is somewhat "higher end", but required a tiny dab of blue Loctite to make it reliable. Clasp is run of the mill. The watch itself is actually okay, based on its own merits. Bezel lines up with the face perfectly, the print on the face is sharp and applied nicely, as are the pips and lume. The ceramic bezel insert is stunningly beautiful under any lighting, but especially so outside in natural light! Seems to keep time very well, (+4s/day). GMT complication works bang on. I like this watch. And, as always, straightforward transaction with Long Island Watch.

My second Squale , price and delivery costs excellent . The micro adjustable clap makes a big difference . Recommended seller .

Excellent customer service from the time of order to the final delivery. I had a small issue with the watch that was completely user error on my part and Marc took care of it with aplomb. Only catch: Where is my 5% first order discount? Regardless, I will be ordering from LIWC again. Soon.

Sadly, although the watch was fantastic, it just felt a bit too small for my wrist, so I returned it for a refund. Marc processed the refund promptly and without hesitation. A great dealer to do business with!
