Squale Montauk 300M Swiss Automatic Diver with Rich Blue Dial #MTK-22

The Squale Montauk is back! Entering it’s third revision, this popular Swiss automatic diver was first released in 2020. Featuring an amazing 300 meters of water resistance, Swiss Made pedigree and amazing dive watch history, the Squale Montauk continues to stand out as one of Long Island Watch’s best offerings. This model is exclusive to our store, and cannot be found elsewhere.

The nickname given to the watch, Montauk, is a popular tourist destination at the east end of Long Island, NY. Montauk is known for its beaches, fishing and strong Atlantic surf. It has a historical 1796 landmark lighthouse that houses documents signed by George Washington. It is also known for the mysterious Camp Hero State Park (once a U.S. WWII Military base).

The Squale Montauk is 38mm in diameter and just 11.5mm thick. The lug to lug measurement is a very wearable 48.5mm. The case is made from 316L stainless steel that features a combination of polished and satin finishes. The screw-down caseback has an etched Squale logo and the screwdown crown has an embossed version of the logo. Water resistance is an impressive 300 meters.

The Swiss Made Sellita SW200-1 (true no-date, standard grade) powers the watch and handwinds and hacks, with a power reserve of about 40 hours. The dial, hands and case design are vintage inspired, but still maintain the Squale DNA. The dial has is smooth with applied indices at the 12/3/6/9 and has a sunburst finish. The 120 click uni-directional diver marked bezel is black aluminum, with a lumed triangle. The hands and markers are generously filled with C3 Super-LumiNova to really make the time legible at night. To enhance dial clarity, Squale uses a flat sapphire crystal that has an anti-reflective coating on the inside surface. The watch comes mounted on a Squale Von Buren professional rubber strap that tapers from 20mm at the watch, to 18mm at the polished buckle.
