The Gentleman’s standard – then and now. This reissue of a 1960s timepiece pairs the purity, precision and pleasure of a hand-wound mechanical movement with the timeless sophistication of a sleek design. You wind the watch until you feel resistance on the crown, then stop. (be careful to not over wind). This should be repeated every day to prevent the watch from stopping. The Marlin watch is throw-back vintage design in size and movement. It has a 34mm diameter case, a radiant green colored dial with goldtone hands and markers, and it features an acrylic crystal (like the original). Inside the watch is a mechanical, hand wind movement. The Marlin is destined to become a collectors item.

    After having viewed Mark’s honest review on his Island Watch YouTube channel, and having read other reviews, I was confident to purchase the Timex Marlin from Island Watch. In Mark’s reviews, I very much appreciate being told both the positives and negatives about a watch which he clearly lays out when discussing his products. That is important to me.     The TIMEX Marlin is nice, much smaller than I thought. Delivery took longer than usual due to lockdown, but it got here, which was excellent. Overall, good service.
