Traser Code Green Watch with Green Tritium Illumination and Black Nylon Strap #106105

Traser Code Green Military Watch with Green Tritium Illumination and Black Nylon Strap #106105

The Traser Swiss Made Code Green model is based on the original 6500 Type 6 and it is a sibling of the popular Code Blue watch. It is equipped with a polyamide diver-style timing bezel, a white second hand, and striking green illumination on the dial markers (orange for 12:00) and hands. The watch is powered by a Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement that is accessible via a screw-in back (for battery changes). The 43mm diameter black case is made from tough and light weight carbon fiber making it perfect for a variety of activities. And, as it is a military design, it has no brand name on the dial (H3 markings only). A military time scale is shown in addition to the regular 12-hour markings. Date is at 3:00.

The watch comes with a black NATO-style nylon strap to fit just about any wrist size. It includes a nice black box with USA Military Watch, Swiss Made printing. Water resistance is 30 meters. Warranty is 3 years and 10 years on illumination. It is a great all around field watch.

This watch works great, I got it for the tritium illumination (particularly on the second hand) and it really works well. I have some heart issues and sometimes take my pulse at night in bed (since I have 2 artificial valves - and they're loud - I can hear the beat without any problem but I need a second hand that I can read in the dark. This watch has that. The only complaint I have with it - and this holds true for all the competition too - is that the clearly marked numerals (white on black) need illumination too )even though that would be done conventionally (super luminova) not with the tritium. Even though that illumination fades during the night it would still be helpful in orienting the watch and telling the actual time. I don't think it would cost that much more to treat the hour numerals (and the rotating bezel) this way and it would make the watch that much more useful at night.

Excellent Budget Swiss Made Military Field Watch

Traser's Code Green is an excellent budget Swiss Made military field watch. The Green Tritium is sufficiently bright to read the time in complete darkness but not bright enough to give your position away (from a tactical point of view). The movement is very accurate, it has kept time with the NIST atomic clock very well. The NATO strap is sturdy and comfortable. It can withstand up to a 100 feet of water, it is not ISO diver certified, that's why I consider it a field watch. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase so much that I am contemplating buying the Traser MIL-G Type 6 P6600.41F.13.01.
