Powering the watch is the Made in Japan Miyota 8205 movement. The 8205 is an automatic movement that handwinds and hacks, and has a power reserve of 40 hours. As it is a vertical day configuration, there is only one language on the day wheel (English). The 39mm case is just 13mm thick (13.5mm including the dome of the sapphire crystal) and a very cozy 47mm lug to lug. A screwdown crown ensures a full 200 meters of water resistance.

Instead of a traditional dive timer bezel, we have included a bi-directional dual time bezel, which is a great way to track a second time zone. The insert is ceramic, so it resists scratching. Telling the time is a snap with syringe style hands with accented color tips.

Securing it to your wrist is a matching blue rubber strap with white keepers, and a bonus nylon strap in the same color scheme is included. Both straps have quick release spring bars to allow for quick changes with no tools.

If you desire a bracelet for your watch, we also offer a matching bracelet. It tapers from the 20mm lug width to 18mm at the 4 position micro-adjust clasp. The bracelet is solid link, and solid endlink, and is easily sized with an included screwdriver. The H-links are brushed on the tops and side, with a note of high-polish on the top and bottom edges of the center links. This provides a bit of visual ‘pop’ as your wrist moves. The bracelet also uses quick release spring pins.

As a graduate senior who recently completed her illustrious career at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, O’Brien represents the Fighting Irish after an extraordinary journey that began with her considering track an “afterthought” before her mother recognized her potential. From Pewaukee, Wisconsin, and a graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in Milwaukee, O’Brien has transformed into one of the nation’s premier multi-event athletes. Her senior season culminated spectacularly with a runner-up finish in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, posting a personal-record and program-record score of 6,256 points that ranks No. 12 on the all-time collegiate scoring chart. Her season also featured an ACC Championship record-breaking heptathlon victory with 6,220 points, where she dominated all seven events to become the first Notre Dame athlete to win the ACC heptathlon crown. O’Brien holds three Notre Dame records in the pentathlon, heptathlon, and distance medley relay, and has earned recognition as a four-time All-American, three-time NCAA Indoor national champion in the pentathlon, and Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year for both indoor and outdoor seasons. Beyond her athletic achievements, O’Brien has demonstrated remarkable academic excellence and maintains her competitive drive rooted in family values - she comes from a large family of seven siblings where faith plays a central role.
